Most of the residents of Hi-Lo were American Saddlebreds like the recently departed, Lorry. Sprinkled among the high steppers were a couple of Arabian mares,a Pinto pony, a black Tennessee Walker gelding, and yours truly.
Lorry's old stall became home for Spy. He turned out to be a really neat guy. Spy told the rest of us, "I'm only one half Saddlebred. Surely you've noticed my black and white Pinto markings?"
Spy was a parade horse. When we shared a paddock, I loved to hear his stories of traveling down paved roads with crowds of people of people lining both sides of the parade route. How awesome!
